Synopsis: Tony (Peter Couldwell) is keen to become a surf-boat sweep and life-saver like his elder brother Brian. But now the family has moved to the undeveloped Bungala Beach near Sydney his chance seems very remote. After a small boy is nearly drowned Brian decides to form a Bungala life-savers' club, and Tony eventually proves himself a worthy member.
Notes: Based on the 1959 novel "The New Surf Club" by Australian writer Claire Meillon, this 1961 film was produced by the Children's Film Foundation.
